What is CrownGrid?
CrownGrid is a browser-based logic puzzle in the same family as classic crown / "queens" placement games. The board is split into colored regions. Your goal is to place exactly one crown in each region, while also keeping exactly one crown per row and per column — and making sure no two crowns are adjacent, not even diagonally. Every board has a single, logically deducible solution.
Unlike the puzzles built into big platforms, CrownGrid is truly unlimited: generate a brand-new board with one click, choose your difficulty from 6×6 up to 8×8, and play as many times as you like without signing in.
How to play (60-second version)
- Tap a cell once to place an ✕ — a note that a crown can't go there.
- Tap again to place a ♛ crown. Tap a third time to clear the cell.
- You need one crown per region, row and column.
- No two crowns may touch — not horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- Conflicting crowns are outlined in red so you can fix mistakes fast.
