What is SunMoon?
SunMoon is a browser-based binary logic puzzle in the same family as Tango. Each cell holds one of two symbols — a ☀️ sun or a 🌙 moon. Solve it with pure deduction: no guessing required, and every board has a single logical solution.
Unlike puzzles locked to one per day, SunMoon is unlimited — tap "New puzzle" for a fresh board any time, or take the shared Daily Challenge and build a streak.
The rules
- Each cell is a ☀️ or a 🌙. Tap to cycle ☀️ → 🌙 → empty.
- No three in a row — horizontally or vertically.
- Each row and column has an equal number of ☀️ and 🌙.
- A = between two cells means they match; an ✕ means they differ.

Quick solving tips
SunMoon is cracked by two simple ideas working together:
- No triples. Two identical symbols side by side force the opposite symbol on both ends; a lone gap between two identicals must be the opposite too.
- Balance. Each row and column holds equal suns and moons — once half are placed, the rest of that line is forced.
- Clues chain. An = locks a matching pair, an ✕ locks opposites; combine them with the no-triple rule for fast cascades.
